Check this out. The picture above is a picture of two girls Nina and Miranda. When this picture was taken both of them lived in Kansas. Nina came to us from Kansas last year and began checking out the Uprising after she moved here. At the Uprising Nina began to experience community, truth, and growth that she wanted to share with her friends back in Kansas. Nina started a facebook group for her friends and began to share with them our online talks that we stream live on Wednesday nights duri...

Bobby's Story

Posted by Chad Swanzy on Friday, June 5, 2009,

"I love coming to the Uprising and the Gathering. It's a place I know I won't be judge by people that matter to me. I can see my friends, worship, and be fed spiritually. I get to worship God how I want to. I meet amazing people and make great friends. I find accountability there, prayer for when I fall or am in need, family when I feel abandoned, and love when I don't deserve it."

Holly's baptism.

"I like the Gathering (The Uprising's small group ministry) and the Uprising because of the very special spirited, welcoming, and growing young Christians I have met here. You guys open up oppotunities for everyone and I love the willingness and the spirit of Christ I find here. I want this ministry to grow to EPIC proportions."

Every single one of the leaders automatically welcomed me and it felt unbelievably good to just be around each and everyone of them. They are my family. Where I can go and just look at everyone's smiling faces and all my problem's ju...

Alex's Story

Posted by Chad Swanzy on Friday, June 5, 2009,

"The Uprising for me is a way to escape from every day life and struggles and just reconnect with my heavenly Father. It's a place where I can get physical, emotional, and spiritual help from all of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I originally came to the Uprising because of a girl. I was lost at that time and I needed guidance. The only reason I came back the next night was not because of a girl but because of people who helped me feel welcomed and loved. I love everyone here and what it ...

Holley's Story

Posted by Chad Swanzy on Thursday, June 4, 2009,

"Hi my name is Holley P. and I have been attending Gateway's youth ministry (the Uprising) since the summer of 2008. At that time I was looking for a youth group to plug into and had visited several other churches prior, but none compared to the welcoming enviornment I found here in the uprising. It was here I met and was encouraged by many adult and student leaders to attend the uprising's events and camps. Though I was still rather shy, I went to many of these events and the uprising's we...
